Dream Villa: A Modern Farmhouse Retreat

An Elegant Interior Design Concept by Kirstin Fu-Ying Wang

The main inspiration for Dream Villa came from Mr. Chen's desire for a spacious and luxurious retreat. The design team at Spaceblossom conceptualized an elegant farmhouse theme, using elements such as a pitched ceiling, exposed timber beams, timber finishes on columns, and white walls to set the tone. The overall color scheme is monotone, creating a modern, timeless, and classic design.

The unique feature of Dream Villa lies in its ability to seamlessly blend luxury with simplicity. Each space within the villa has been carefully curated to add interest and serve as a focal point. The large private bedroom and spacious master ensuite exude elegance and tranquility, while the open living room, kitchen, and dining area create a welcoming and social atmosphere.

The realization of Dream Villa involved a comprehensive interior design service, including joinery detailing, carpentry, coordination of electrical and mechanical services, kitchen and bathroom appliance installations, furniture selection, and soft furnishings throughout. The result is a harmonious and cohesive space that reflects the client's vision.

With an interior area of 147 square meters, Dream Villa offers a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. The public area, consisting of the living room, open kitchen, dining area, and bar, provides an open and inviting space for socializing. The private area, located at the back of the house, features a large master ensuite with a hidden door leading to a luxurious bathroom. Adjacent to the bedroom is a garden that fills the space with natural light.

The construction of Dream Villa took place from April to July 2019 in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Throughout the project, the design team faced various challenges, with the ceiling design being the most complex. The team successfully concealed all pipes and wires while maintaining the height and aesthetic shape of the pitched ceiling. Exposed beams covered with timber veneer add to the farmhouse theme, while carefully selected light fixtures and ceiling fans create a modern and elegant style.

Dream Villa is a testament to the fulfillment of one man's dream and the collaboration between a visionary client and a talented designer. The result is a modern farmhouse retreat that combines luxury, functionality, and timeless design.
